1966 - Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker formed the group Cream in London.

1966 - The Lovin' Spoonful released "Summer In The City.”

1969 - The Who released "I'm Free.”

1973 - Bob Dylan released the soundtrack to Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid.

1981 - Harry Chapin died at the age of 38 after being involved in a car crash on his way to a benefit concert.

1996 - The Cranberries singer Dolores O'Riordan accepted an undisclosed settlement after a London newspaper reported that she performed on stage without panties.

1999 - The Beach Boys appeared on NBC’s The Today Show.
