1967 - Vanilla Fudge made their live debut with a concert in New York.

1968 - The Byrds released their album Sweetheart of the Rodeo.

1972 - The Who released the song "Join Together."

1977 - Elvis Costello's debut album, My Aim Is True, was released in Britain.

1979 - Little Richard, speaking at a revival meeting in North Richmond, California as Reverend Richard Penniman, warned the congregation about the evils of Rock & Roll.
